After a remarkable combined 60 years of dedication and service in the field of education, we are proud to celebrate the retirement of Scott Carlson and Cindy Snell. These two outstanding educators have impacted countless students and athletes throughout their careers and have helped shape the lives of all those around them.

Scott Carlson has been a member of Waukee Schools for three decades. During his time as a social studies teacher and School-to-Work Coordinator, he has inspired a generation of students to find their passion and reach their full potential. Beyond the classroom, Scott has acted as a mentor to countless athletes and colleagues. He has had an immeasurable impact on our community.

Cindy Snell has also dedicated more than 30 years to nurturing the minds and hearts of young people. Her passion for agriculture education in the state of Iowa has helped grow the field tremendously during her tenure. We are so grateful to have been involved in a small part of her journey, but her impact on our students and our program will be long-lasting. Because of Cindy’s passion and dedication she was also given the Legacy Award and her name will be proudly displayed on the plaque at the WILC.
